Overview Seeking a Human Factors Engineer to work with the system integrator to develop human-centered design (HCD) strategic plans to implement within the user community for PM ATIS, whose mission is to develop and field a worldwide distributed learning system to ensure our nation's Soldiers receive critical training anytime and anywhere to ensure mission success. Work location is at the client site in Newport News, VA. Responsibilities Work with the system integrator to develop human-centered design (HCD) strategic plans to implement within the user community as capabilities are released for limited testing. Coordinate user feedback metrics and improvements to ensure that the ATIS capabilities both satisfies the technical requirements and enhances the user experience to provide a win-win result for the Army and its Soldier/civilian communities. Support data focus group session. Develop or implement human performance research, investigation, or analysis protocols. Ensure Industry standards and best practices created specifically for government agencies are employed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including meeting 508 accessibility requirements), reduce rework and cost when possible, and push towards technology agnostic solutions. Work with Integrator HCD SMEs on strategic and tactical plans for the development methodology being employed, incorporating the business goals and the technical constraints of the project. Ensure solution feasibility is tracking toward the desired project goals. Percentage of Travel Required:
10% Qualifications Required:
Five (5) year experience in Human Factors Engineering or Human Systems Engineering with Army or other DoD training processes, support systems, products, policies, and techniques. Well-versed in fundamental visual and interactive software and mobile design disciplines. Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written). System user interface design experience, with demonstrated problem solving skills. Clearance:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, information technology, human factors, cognitive psychology, behavioral or related science or any other advanced degree related to system or industrial engineering.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Data Science & Machine Learning, Business Intelligence & AnalyticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
