Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is currently seeking a Project Management Analyst for the Maritime Operations Team in Newport News, VA, supporting Newport News Shipbuilding Submarine Fleet Support. The successful candidate will support development and communication of key performance metrics including development and maintenance of a metrics dashboard and robust risk management program. The candidate will be collaborating withtrades, quality department, deck plate leadership, management, regulators, vendors and engineering and program personnel to effect improvement in operational performance in Submarine Fleet Support. documentation, process improvement (including the modernization and integration of the integrate digital shipbuilding initiatives), problem resolution, safety, and loss and damage. Documentation:
Manage Recovery actions to return to work and implement new control processes for SUBSAFE work including correspondence to customer and regulators. Process Improvement:
Lead the SFS SUBSAFE Process Group forum, plan and execute mini-Kaizen events and develop a plan for monitoring, tracking and issue resolution. Leverage iDS and bring industry current elements into SFS. Create and manage metrics and a slides for communicating high level status to stakeholders. Leverage Machine learning and AI to provide better insight, predictions, and solutions for schedule and problem resolution. Encouraging and capturing Lesson Learned across Submarine Fleet Support, Education, Teaching and Coaching of staff. Manage Risk and Team Learning Sessions (TLS) action items. Establish an Integrated Project Team Development program for the Submarine Fleet Support Team to improve the multi stakeholder teamwork. Establish a process to ensure all items are completed prior to its respective Key Event. Update Program Quality Score Card evaluation and action. Understand if corrective actions are being effective. Developing and managing Actions taken to react to metrics Safety:
Monitor the SFS Safety performance and provide Safety Messaging, Manage Deck plate surveillance. Provide training on surveillance practices, Collecting and analyzing surveillance records, Reacting to surveillance results. Ensure best practices are used by Submarine Fleet Support, Advise and help guide the NNS Lost and Damaged Council. Monitor and support Cannibalization (S/F to Fleet and NNS to NNS) and Carcass management. What You Must Have 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field. Experience in performance metrics in a high requirement environment as well as experience with risk assessment and management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Bonus Points For Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Experience with LRM. Experience with Quality management. Experience with SharePoint. Experience with Autocad. Six-Sigma certification. Navy or Submarine experience. Physical Requirements Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
