Feb 18, 2023 Job Description The Lead General Foreman is responsible for the performance and supervision of general foremen, foremen, and hourly craftsmen in their assigned area of responsibility.
Specifically, this includes:
safety of the workforce and the workplace, quality of work performed, efficiency and effectiveness of work being performed, supporting construction schedules and labor targets.
The Lead General Foreman is responsible for the assignment and direction of qualified general foremen and foremen to effectively perform primary roles of production supervision and collaboration across trades, construction, and program management as well as Operations Trade Management to maximize performance.
The Lead General Foreman is expected to provide leadership through effective communications, coaching, training, and development and to provide problem resolution to facilitate improved workflow and work relationships across shipyard management.
Basic Qualifications BS/Apprentice
8 years construction/production management experience OR Non-BS/Non-Apprentice
10 years construction/production management experience.
