Application Systems Engineer

Overview:
The Army Training Support Center (ATSC) is located at Fort Eustis, Virginia and responsible for managing the Army Training Support Enterprise (TSE) providing oversight for many programs that enable the development, delivery, and sustainment of Training and Education (T&E) support capabilities worldwide.
By Light is looking for candidates to provide Automation Technical Support (ATS) for mission related network components, computers, Software (SW), Video Teleconferencing (VTC) equipment, projectors, wiring, network equipment/SW, switches, Configuration Management (CM), servers, virtual environments and infrastructure, applications, and associated communications equipment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing, and programming information systems applications.
Performs analysis, design, and troubleshoots automated information systems and applications.
Provide direct support to the entire software development life cycle from requirements gathering to programming to system maintenance and documentation.
Responsible for the design and development of components and whole applications, documentation for systems, adherence to coding standards and maintenance of applications.
Contribute to development and research of secure coding practices.
Work with information security and server support personnel to ensure server patching activities are accomplished.
Ensure appropriate project documentation is available for each new build or release.
Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.
Draft, provide, and conduct information briefs, progress reviews, and other status reports as required.
Perform other duties as required to sustain the in-place IT infrastructure.
Support the development and implementation of internal application systems to permit remote processing and remote/central statistical archival of data using currently available hardware architecture.
Prepare an Operational Concept Description, Software Development Plan, System Operations Manual, Software Test Plan, Training Development and Management Plan, Technical Reports, and Program Plan.
Maintain internal automated information systems to include modeling, data element identification, database design, analysis, application engineering, testing, and documentation.
Required Experience/
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Experience:
1-2 or more years experience with object-oriented development environments.
A solid understanding of programming design principles and a solid foundation with at least one object-oriented programming language, C#, and in Microsoft.
NET and SQL environments.
Certifications:
Security+, and Microsoft AZ-204 or Microsoft DP-900.
Must have experience with SQL and a solid understanding of SQL and relational Databases.
Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills.
Ability to work on multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience/
Qualifications:
Supported the U.
S.
Army or other DoD/Federal Agency.
Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
Experience with front end web languages/libraries such as JavaScript/Bootstrap Experience with secure coding practices Special Requirements/Security Clearance:

Citizen Secret Security Clearance Recommended Skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
