BILINGUAL CASE MANAGER FOR LONG TERM FOSTER CARE

Experience in child welfare services, standards, best practices, and compliance issues is preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is also strongly preferred.

EnCircle's new Long-Term Foster Care program will serve unaccompanied immigrant children in the custody of Office of Refugee Resettlement who will be living with foster families while attending public school, working through the immigration process, and preparing for independence.
Our Case Manager will provide casework and supportive services to unaccompanied children referred to enCircle's Long Term Foster Care program.
In addition to casework and supportive services, you will also be responsible for communicating with stakeholders in an effective and timely manner to ensure case continuity.

This position is located in Newport News, VA.

MINIMIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES Master's or Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with one year casework experience with children and families OR Bachelor's degree in any field with two years of casework experience with children and families.
Experience in child welfare/case management, stronglypreferred.
Prior experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred.
Bi-lingual English andSpanishstrongly preferred.
Matureandstablejudgmentaswellassensitivitytovariousculturesandtheuniquehistory ofrefugees.
Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agencyregistries.
Participate in a system of 24-hour availability to clients, foster and adoptive parents, as required.
Unrestricted valid driver's license with good driving record.
Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served and proof of current automobile insurance.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES Ensure that all assigned youth on your caseload and under your supervision receive mandatory services while in care to include but not limited to mental health, medical, recreational, educational, and other supportive services in accordance with the time and documentation expectations of theprogram.
Develop and completes assessments, service and treatment plans, progress notes, incident reportsand any other necessary documentation in a timely manner.
Create a trusting and safe relationship with the client and encourage personal growth of the client.
Maintainaccurateandcurrentinformationonfosterchildrenincare,whileensuringcontractorand the program's internal documentation practices and reporting requirements are met.
Actively participate in weekly staff meetings with theclinicalteam andstakeholders.
Attend, facilitate, and assist with providing on-going education and support services to fosterparents.
Attendweeklymeetingswithsupervisortoconsultoncases,toreviewcaseplananddirection and to evaluate client participation andprogress.
Schedule meetings with foster parents and foster children on at least a monthly basis and address any concerns in servicedelivery.
Translatebothwrittenandverbalcommunicationforprogramclienteleandstaff,ifbi-lingual.
Maintaineffectivecommunicationwithcommunityagenciesorindividualsinvolved inservice provision.
Attendinternalandexternaltrainingandapplynewlygainedknowledgeinprovidingservices.
Attend and prepare for required court hearings (ifapplicable).
Transport clients on an as neededbasis.
Explorepotentialcommunity resources and refer Case Managers and families for support, as needed.
Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state program, and agency regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours and work independently within the field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
