Senior Who We AreHII Mission Technologies' Fleet Sustainment is seeking a senior Specification Writer to manage and provide in-depth electrical technical expertise to NNS, critical to the continued development of Equipment and System Manuals.
Candidate must be proactive in taking on more responsibility and be the lead on his electrical TMs for each new construction/RCOH hulls, working independently and in conjunction with engineering to develop all required products.
Teleworking is highly recommended but will have to come into the office at least one day a week on Wednesday, when all staff are in the office at the Netcenter.
What You Will Do Prepares specifications from engineering change notices, customer specifications, and/or published data sheets.
Maintains customer specifications files; reviews customer drawings and data; translates customer language into standard procedures and product flow.
What You Must Have Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
Candidate must have prior CVN Carrier electrical experience, reviewing and editing E74, equipment and system manuals.
Candidate must have excellent communication and organization skills.
Candidate must be familiar with the operation, maintenance, and arrangement of equipment/system TMs.
Candidate must have experience with electrical manuals on all new construction hulls.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

S.
Citizen.
Bonus Points For Prior CVN electrical experience and prior experience on or with equipment onboard Carriers - CVN 78/79 New Construction is highly desired.
Physical RequirementsMost work is performed in an office environment with the possibility of some time spent aboard ships or in industrial conditions.
Able to work on and climb ladders.
Able to work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
Environment may involve high heat, humidity, noise, and dirty conditions.
Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
