2K a year Primary responsibility will be to support the facilities and warehouse functions at B&Ws Newport News, VA location.
This position will be responsible to ship/receive and provide inventory control of goods associated with the B&W products lines for ESP electrical, HRC and GIA Niro.
Cross-functional capability of completing additional operations within operations team in support of the Company is also important in this position.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage inventory control systems, including maintaining accurate records of stock levels, conducting regular inventory audits, and implementing necessary adjustments to avoid discrepancies or stockouts.
Coordinate and oversee the shipping and receiving processes, including the inspection and verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Provide backup support for other Newport News facility services functions as required.
Process incoming and outgoing USPS mail and incoming/outgoing packages through FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
Responsible for safety in all aspects of work completed including daily work activities, overseeing contractors, monthly safety training, and completion of ZIPs and caring conversations, and member of the on-site Emergency Response Team.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High school diploma or higher education required Minimum Five (5) years of work in an office environment and experience in the following:
Mail and package processing Vendor interface PC skills:
Word, Excel, Outlook Must exhibit strong organizations skills, work well in an unsupervised environment, establish good employee relationships and work well with all levels of the organization.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive warehouse environment.
Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 70 lbs.
Safe driving skills, including maintaining a valid driver's license for use of all company vehicles.
