This position requires transporting students, staff and equipment in a 15 passenger Ford Transit van between locations.
REQUIREMENTS Successful candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid drivers license and more than one year of driving experience; experience driving a 15 passenger van is a plus.
Must be able to adhere to road rules and regulations.
An acceptable driving record is required.
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Must be able to manage time effectively.
Must be able to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES Safely transporting staff and students, as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of student and company equipment, products, and materials.
Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction to ensure that departures and arrivals are on time.
Using Global Positioning System (GPS) to plan routes.
Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and maintenance.
Maintaining a travel log to record work hours, travel time and locations traveled to.
Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
Attending weekly staff meetings and assisting with student transportation planning.
Perform other duties as necessary.
