Classified - Position - Clerical Job Number 3700230992 Start Date Open Date 08/09/2023 Closing Date 08/23/2023 Job SummaryPosition is responsible for providing customer contact and clerical support, maintains billing information for department field trips and maintains department time keeping systems.
Essential Duties Serves as direct clerical support for Transportation Supervisor.
Inputs completed field trip information into department Field Trip Management System for billing purposes.
Works with central payroll office in ensuring monthly and bi-monthly employee pay files are complete and ready for processing by established due dates.
Updates employee files in department Time and Attendance Software.
Monitors the radio net control station by receiving and relaying information to and from drivers.
Serves as central point of contact for school bus drivers and school bus assistants to address and direct general concerns and questions.
Become familiar with the usage of applicable department software to include Edulog, Field Trip Manager, GPS, Issue Trak, Time & Attendance and MUNIS.
Prepares statistical tables; correspondences, meeting notes, reports, bulletins, charts, questionnaires, requisitions, and other items as needed or requested.
Compiles information from various sources for records and reports.
Maintains a regular filing system and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence as instructed.
Handles incoming telephone calls and refers to other staff members when appropriate.
Inputs all complaints, concerns, and issues into the Issue Trak system.
Communicates with schools to assist with student bus concerns and other Transportation information request.
Distributes all inter-departmental and postal correspondence to the appropriate person.
Inputs and files all Exception to School Board Policy forms for bus stop changes.
Creates and updates various forms used by Transportation.
Assist with quarterly department billing.
Must be available to work a variety of shifts.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

)Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required)Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Must possess knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and equipment; familiarity with Mainframe and Edulog a plus.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment, tact and courtesy in difficult situations and with communications to the public.
Ability to organize and maintain clerical records and to prioritize workload.
Must possess strong organizational skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
