QA Specialist II

1. Performs in process quality assurance audits of MHI trades and subcontractors for compliance to work specifications.
2. Provides QA policy and quality assurance requirements to MHI trade supervisors during job kick-off meetings. Attends weekly progress meetings with MHI project managers and customers providing a copy of weekly progress reports to the AQAD. Advises production shop personnel and sub-contractors on quality assurance issues.
3. As part of availability planning, develops Test and Inspection plan, performs technical review of work specs to ensure compliance with technical requirements, and conducts pre-availability sub-contract QA meetings with or for the assigned QAS I to review subcontract requirements. Provides Documenter's initial and updated information to maintain T & I plan and ensure it remains up-to-date.
4. Reviews, audits and submits process control procedures for each new job. (PCP's)
5. Per customer contracts, oversees specified inspections and test as required.
6. Work with QAS I and observe sub-contractor NDT inspections.
7. Upon conclusion of each job (availabilities), reviews the final records to be put into storage.
8. Writes QA specific CFR's
9. Provides liaison with customer and subcontractor QA representatives.
10. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining internal qualifications.
11. Start training to obtain NDT Level I Certifications.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2. Must complete all requirements of Quality Assurance Specialist III.
3. Two or more years related technical experience and knowledge of ship repair procedures.
4. Knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and requirements of other Ship Repair Authorities.
5. Must have NACE 1 or NBPI Certification.
6. Strong organizational skills.
7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a must.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact well with others.
9. Must have own transportation
10. Must be US Citizen
11. Must pass drug and background screening and be eligible to obtain a DBIDS badge


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
