Position Specifics: Candidate must have certifications in Security
and Information Assurance Technical Level II. Candidate must have database expertise in SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, Oracle 10g/9i/8g, and Access. Candidate must have expertise in T-SQL, Pl/SQL, , VB, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects.
Provide services to conduct business and system analyses, relational database administration support, object oriented analysis, information system maintenance, programming, information assurance, communications, documentation, program management and report services by personnel with the necessary IA workforce certification requirements. Provide operational support of computer hardware and software (system and applications), as well as system and user date files within database systems. Provide maintenance of all user/system data files, data verification following system restoration/recovery procedures, and data format conversion procedures during the import and/or export of data. Provides database reporting/printout support. Provided support to a variety of database systems (Oracle, Sybase, and .NET).
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
# Basic Qualifications
14 years relevant experience with Bachelors; 12 years relevant experience with Masters. An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor-s degree requirement for this job. This experience is in addition to the relevant years of experience listed with the job-s education requirements. Example: If this job required a Bachelor-s degree
5 years relevant experience the equivalency would equal HS diploma
9 years job related experience.
# Preferred Qualifications
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
Previous experience in supporting Navy/NAVSEA Enterprise Systems preferred. Experience in supporting SLDC in a CMMI Level 3 environment preferred.
